Discord
Always-on community chat and drop-in voice rooms.
Integration features
Members will click “Join Server” on your portalry to launch Discord. Use this checklist to give them a smooth landing every time.
Portalry shares your persistent server invite so members can find the right channels quickly.
What Portalry handles for you
- Highlights your Discord invite with a "Join Server" button.
- Pulls through the server name and icon when the portal is first added.
- Works with permanent or expiring invite URLs (update the link in Portalry if you rotate invites.)
Setup checklist
- Create a non-expiring invite that drops members into your welcome or onboarding channel.
- Enable server onboarding or Forms-based verification if you want newcomers to read guidelines first.
- Create dedicated voice/stage channels for live sessions and pin instructions in a text channel.
What still lives in the platform
- Portalry does not manage Discord roles or permissions—moderate those inside Discord.
- Voice channel stage scheduling happens entirely in Discord.
Extras & best practices
- Consider enabling Server Guide or Discovery if you run a public community.
- Keep a "start here" message pinned.
