Join Jitsi from Portalry
On your portalry page tap “Join Conference” to open Jitsi. Keep this guide handy for a smooth first visit.
Jitsi Meet runs in modern browsers without installs. Mobile apps are optional but not required to join.
What you need before you join
- Use the latest Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari (mobile Safari supported on iOS/iPadOS).
- Allow microphone and camera access when prompted so others can hear and see you.
- If the organiser has locked the room, keep the meeting name/passphrase handy.
Join in a few steps
- Tap "Join Meeting" in Portalry to open the Jitsi room in a new tab.
- Enter the display name you want other attendees to see.
- Approve microphone/camera permissions when the browser asks.
- Test audio/video, then join the call. You can toggle grid view or tile view inside Jitsi.
Helpful tips
- Use headphones to avoid echo and feedback.
- If video is choppy, disable HD or turn off your camera to prioritise audio.
