LinkedIn Groups
Professional communities hosted on LinkedIn.
Integration features
Members will click “Open Group” on your portalry to launch LinkedIn Groups. Use this checklist to give them a smooth landing every time.
Portalry recognises linkedin.com/groups links so members can request access and stay engaged with your community.
What Portalry handles for you
- Detects LinkedIn Group URLs and labels them clearly.
- Attempts to pull the group name and preview image from LinkedIn metadata when you first add it.
- Keeps an "Open Group" call-to-action that you can reuse across events and reminders.
Setup checklist
- Copy the linkedin.com/groups/... URL from your group page and paste it into Portalry.
- Confirm whether the group is request-to-join or member-only and add any rules to the portal description.
- Review your membership questions and welcome post in LinkedIn before sharing the link widely.
What still lives in the platform
- Portalry cannot approve join requests, moderate posts, or change notifications—manage those in LinkedIn.
- Engagement metrics and member lists stay inside LinkedIn.
Extras & best practices
- Pin a welcome or rules post in the group and reference it from your Portalry description.
- Use scheduled prompts or weekly threads in LinkedIn to keep the group active between events.
