Livestreams and on-demand video content.

Integration features

Members will click “Play Video” on your portalry to launch YouTube. Use this checklist to give them a smooth landing every time.

Portalry embeds your live or scheduled YouTube link to keep members informed.

What Portalry handles for you

  • Shows a "Play Video" button that opens your YouTube URL.
  • Pulls through the video title and thumbnail from YouTube metadata.
  • Works with live, unlisted, or public videos (ensure members have the correct link).

Setup checklist

  1. Schedule the YouTube livestream or upload the video and copy the watch URL.
  2. Paste the link into Portalry and add any chat guidelines to the description.
  3. If the stream is unlisted, remind members not to share the URL outside the community.

What still lives in the platform

  • Portalry does not manage stream keys or YouTube Studio settings.
  • Viewer analytics stay in YouTube Analytics.

Extras & best practices

  • Add timestamps or key takeaways in the Portalry notes after the stream ends.
  • Provide a secondary chat option (Discord, Slack) if you disable YouTube comments.
