YouTube
Livestreams and on-demand video content.
Integration features
Members will click “Play Video” on your portalry to launch YouTube. Use this checklist to give them a smooth landing every time.
Portalry embeds your live or scheduled YouTube link to keep members informed.
What Portalry handles for you
- Shows a "Play Video" button that opens your YouTube URL.
- Pulls through the video title and thumbnail from YouTube metadata.
- Works with live, unlisted, or public videos (ensure members have the correct link).
Setup checklist
- Schedule the YouTube livestream or upload the video and copy the watch URL.
- Paste the link into Portalry and add any chat guidelines to the description.
- If the stream is unlisted, remind members not to share the URL outside the community.
What still lives in the platform
- Portalry does not manage stream keys or YouTube Studio settings.
- Viewer analytics stay in YouTube Analytics.
Extras & best practices
- Add timestamps or key takeaways in the Portalry notes after the stream ends.
- Provide a secondary chat option (Discord, Slack) if you disable YouTube comments.
