How to join with FrameVR

Tap “Open Frame” to open FrameVR, then follow these steps to get set up.

FRAME works directly in modern browsers and supports VR headsets for immersive sessions.

What you need before you join

Use the latest version of Chrome, Edge, or Firefox on desktop. Safari on iOS/iPadOS is supported for viewing.
For VR, use Meta Quest Browser, Pico Browser, or WebXR-enabled desktop browsers with a tethered headset.
Allow microphone/browser permissions so other attendees can hear you.

Join in a few steps

Click "Open Frame" in Portalry. The FRAME space opens in a new tab.
Enter your display name and allow microphone access when prompted.
Select your input mode (keyboard/mouse, touchscreen, or VR controllers).
Follow any on-screen onboarding prompts from the organiser, then move into the main scene.

Helpful tips

Use headphones to minimise echo and improve spatial audio.
If performance drops, lower the graphics quality via the settings cog inside FRAME.

How to join with Discord

Tap “Join Server” to open Discord, then follow these steps to get set up.

Discord is a chat and voice platform. A free Discord account lets you join the community space linked from Portalry.

What you need before you join

Create a free Discord account and verify your email address.
Install the desktop or mobile Discord app for the smoothest audio experience (browser works too).
Be ready to complete any server onboarding questions or rules acknowledgements the organiser has configured.

Join in a few steps

Click the "Join Server" button in Portalry. You will be redirected to the Discord invite screen.
Accept the invite and, if prompted, log in or create an account.
Complete any verification steps (captcha, agreeing to server rules, newcomer channels).
Join the relevant text or voice channel for the session. Use push-to-talk if you have background noise.

Helpful tips

Set your display name to match the one your community recognises—you can edit it per server.
Use the 🌐 icon in the channel list to switch between text, voice, and stage channels quickly.
