Minecraft (Java)
Join Java Edition servers using an IP and port.
Integration features
Members will click “Join Server” on your portalry to launch Minecraft (Java). Use this checklist to give them a smooth landing every time.
Portalry stores your server IP/port and surfaces a Join Server button with player instructions.
What Portalry handles for you
- Displays a "Join Server" button that points to your minecraft://host:port address.
- Keeps the server address visible in the portal description for quick copying.
- Provides a built-in help drawer with Java Edition joining steps.
Setup checklist
- Use your Minecraft server address (host or IP) and port when adding the portal. Prefix it with minecraft:// for the best launch prompt.
- Open the port on your firewall/router and confirm the server is reachable from the internet.
- Mention required versions, modpacks, or allowlist details in the portal description.
What still lives in the platform
- Portalry cannot start/stop the server or manage your allowlist—handle those in your host panel.
- Server status or ping is not auto-checked; monitor uptime separately.
- Players still join via the Minecraft client; some browsers may ignore the minecraft:// prompt.
Extras & best practices
- Add a clear MOTD in server.properties so players know they have joined the right place.
